The primary focus of our practice
is the spine. However, we also see conditions that affect
other parts our body such as the foot, knee, leg, shoulders,
ribs, elbow, hands and the jaw. Orthotics are custom fitted
in our office using a computer GaitScan and biofoam casting.
Our team also includes a registered massage therapist (RMT), a shiatsu therapist (SPR),
and a certified Kinesiotape practitioner. |

"75% of all people will experience foot related problem at some point in their lives"
It's important to understand your feet have direct impact on the rest of your body. A small abnormality in foot function can have a large impact on joints higher up causing pain and discomfort. Most individuals will seek out medical attention, but do not realize the source of their pain is their feet.
If you are experiencing pain or discomfort in your ankles, knees, hips or back....the direct cause may be the function of your feet or ill-fitting shoes.
our clinic has certified professionals who can evaluate your fee, fit you for orthotics and advise you on footwear.
What Are Orthotics?
Orthotics are inserts that fit comfortably into your shoes,.
They are designed to support and improve functioning of your feet. Our therapist will cast and scan your feet to produce custom fitted orthotics to maximize comfort and control.
Most private insurance companies recognize the need for new orthotics and their plans will cover orthotics biannually or annually.

FAQs:
|
|
Q: What is Low Intensity Laser Therapy? |
|
Low Intensity Laser Therapy (LILT) is the use of monochromatic light emission from a low intensity laser diode(250 mW or less) or an array of high intensity super-luminous diodes(providing total optical power in the 10-2000 mW range) to treat musculoskeletal injuries, chronic and degenerative conditions and to heal wounds.
The light source is placed in contact with the skin allowing the photon energy to penetrate tissue, where it interacts with various intracellular bio-molecules resulting in the restoration of normal cell morphology and function. This process also enhances the body s natural healing propensities. |
|
Q: How long does a treatment take? |
|
Treatments are typically 15 minutes to one hour in length and a treatment program statistically requires an average of 10 treatments. |
|
Q: What does Low Intensity Laser Therapy do? |
|
By affecting and reversing the offending pathology at the cellular level, laser therapy optimizes the restoration of injured tissues to function normally, thereby alleviating the symptom of pain. The beneficial effects of laser therapy are cumulative over the course of a series of treatments. |
|
Q: Are there any contraindications? |
